Integration can be carried out in two ways. Firstly, the naturalization exam (most immigrants complete this) or you can also integrate with the State Examination Dutch as a second language (NT2).
If you have to integrate in The Netherlands, you get a letter from DUO. This letter will state the date at which you will be obligated to integrate. You will then have three years to naturalise (the integration period). It is important whether this date is before or after January 1, 2015.
Integration with the integration exam
If you were obliged to integrate before 1 January 2015? Then you will have to do 5 exams for the integration examination. If this was after January 1, 2015, you will have to do 6 exams. In either case, you must pass all exams.
The exam consist of the following modules:
> Reading
> Speaking
> Writing
> Listening
> Knowledge of the Dutch society
> Orientation on the Dutch labor market (from 2015)
Integration with NT2
You can also opt for the NT2. You need this certificate, for example, in higher education in the Netherlands. This exam is more difficult than the other exams, but it will give you more opportunities.
If you were obliged to integrate before January 1, 2015, then you can just do the NT2. If you succeed, you will get the NT2 diploma and you are finished. If this was after January 1, 2015, then you will need to do the State Exam NT2 and complete the exam, Knowledge of Dutch society and the Orientation on the Dutch labor market. If you pass all three exams, you get the NT2 diploma and the integration diploma. The exams are held nationally at different locations in The Netherlands (the costs are not included in the price of the course).
The exam consists of the following modules:
> NT2 (Dutch as a second language)
> Knowledge of Dutch Society (from 2015)
> Guidance on the Dutch labor market (from 2015)
More information about the NT2 can be found on the DUO website.

About the lessons
There are ten lessons every four weeks, at least seven of which you need to follow to achieve the goals. We agree in advance the times for the lessons, so you have a regular teaching group. If you are unable to attend a lesson or want to follow extra lessons, in consultation, we will find a new or extra option to attend another group.
Would you like to go through the process more rapidly? This is possible with additional 1-to-1 classes in addition to the weekly classes. The cost of such a process will depend on your desires and available time. If you’re interested then please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
The duration of the course depends on your own capabilities but you should at least follow twelve course blocks. If during the course we notice that you need more lessons to achieve the goals, the course is extensible with four weeks.
